The workshop will be led by Equipo Maiz, an organization from El Salvador which uses popular education methodology to help communities understand the social and political realities of the home, the organization, the community and the world they live in. The workshop will be held in Spanish.
What:
  • Los tratados del Libre Comercio y su impacto (Free Trade treaties and their impact)
  • El Área del Libre Comercio de las Américas (The Free Trade Zones of the Americas)
  • El neoliberalismo (Neo-liberalism)
  • Los programas de Ajuste Estructural (Structural Adjustment programs)
  • Análisis de la Realidad Estructural (Analysis of structural inequality)

The workshop will use engaging tools that help simplify these concepts, sharpen participants’ understanding of the root causes of economic and social inequity, and help them understand more clearly what lies behind the growing divide between the 1% and the 99%.

Breakfast & Lunch will be provided.

Where: 89 South Street, first floor, Boston, MA 02111
